The Office of State Representative Christina Morales is seeking a motivated, organized, and community-oriented District Aide to serve House District 145. Under the direction of the Chief of Staff and District Director, the District Aide will assist with constituent services, community outreach, office administration, and district operations. The office is located in Houston, Texas, and serves the communities of House District 145.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a liaison between the Representative, constituents, local governments, community organizations, and state agencies.
  • Assist with constituent casework and maintain accurate case records.
  • Attend community meetings, events, and outreach activities on behalf of the office.
  • Assist with scheduling, office administration, and constituent correspondence.
  • Draft letters, certificates, proclamations, and other official documents.
  • Support communications efforts, including newsletters and social media.
  • Coordinate with the Capitol office and provide updates on district activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Representative, Chief of Staff, or District Director.

Qualifications:

Applicants should have an interest in public service, government, communications, or community engagement. Candidates should possess strong communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of the Texas Legislature and the legislative process is preferred. Experience in constituent services, customer service, or community outreach is a plus. Bilingual English/Spanish applicants are strongly encouraged to apply.

Salary:

Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications. A comprehensive state benefits package is available.
