Due to weather-related safety concerns impacting travel in Austin and around the state, we have adjusted this week’s floor schedule.
The Speaker's Office and House Business Office will be closed on Tuesday, January 21. Constitutionally, the House is required to convene on Wednesday as planned. The House will convene very briefly at 2 PM Wednesday and adjourn until 2 PM on Thursday. Members and staff should not travel until weather and road conditions allow you to travel safely. The House Journal will provide documentation of this weather event.
We will continue to monitor weather conditions and advise members and staff if anything changes. Please stay safe.
