The office of State Representative Nicole Collier (Texas House District 95) is seeking a District Aide to oversee district office operations, constituent services, and community outreach efforts. This is a full-time, in-person, position with an anticipated start date of January 2026. Some travel may be required. Only applicants scheduled for an interview will be contacted.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Constituent Services: Interview and obtain information from constituents and other sources; respond to constituent inquiries and requests for assistance; and draft and send constituent correspondence.
  • Community Outreach: Maintain an active presence within the community, including attending evening and weekend events, neighborhood meetings, and community forums, at the direction of the Representative; build and maintain relationships with community leaders, businesses, nonprofits, and advocacy groups; attend outreach programs and events.
  • Calendar Management: Coordinate and manage the Representative’s calendar. 
  • Policy and Communications Support: Monitor local issues; draft reports or memos on emerging topics; and assist with public statements, newsletters, and social media updates related to District affairs.
  • Legislative Coordination: Communicate District concerns and feedback to the Capitol team; and assist with bill tracking and local impact analysis.
  • General Office Administration: Answer phones, emails and letters; receive guests; assist in the planning, scheduling and implementation of events; and maintain detailed notes on all calls, cases and meetings;
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and occasionally holidays;
  • Must manage time well and meet all deadlines.
  • Ability to respond to challenging situations quickly and strategically;
  • Ability to think critically and solve problems;
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally;
  • Must possess compassion and kindness when working with constituents and able to deal effectively with persons experiencing crisis and/or high stress;
  • Strong editing and proofreading skills; 
  • Must be able to work non-traditional hours when necessary, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays;
  • Ability to cultivate and maintain effective relationships with a diverse group of people and remain sensitive to their concerns;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Suite, Canva and social networking websites;
  • Excellent team player; and
  • Must have reliable transportation.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge and understanding of Tarrant County/District 95;
  • Experience with event planning and community engagement;
  • Knowledge of local and state agencies and departments; and
  • An understanding of the local and state political process.

COMPENSATION

Salary will be commensurate with experience. This position also includes full health benefits.
