Texas State Representative

The Office of State Representative Nicole Collier is seeking a creative and politically-minded Communications & Outreach Specialist to manage the office’s digital brand and community outreach. This position requires a candidate dedicated to advancing the Representative’s priorities and engaging with the constituents of House District 95. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter capable of balancing high-level digital strategy with grassroots event planning.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Social Media Management: Execute the Representative's social media presence across all platforms; monitor trends and engage with followers to build a strong digital community.
• Strategy & Campaigns: Design and implement comprehensive social media strategies to highlight legislative action, explain complex policy, and promote district initiatives.
• Content Creation: Produce visually compelling flyers, graphics, and videos for town halls, community events, and legislative updates.
• District Events: Generate innovative ideas for district-based events and lead the promotional efforts to ensure high constituent turnout.
• Legislative Messaging: Work closely with the Capitol and District office teams to ensure all communications reflect the Representative's voice and policy positions.

Required Skills and Background:

• Experience: Demonstrated success in managing professional social media accounts, preferably within a political, legislative, or advocacy context.
• Design Skills: Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) and video editing tools.
• Communication: Excellent writing and editing skills with the ability to produce fast, accurate, and engaging content under tight deadlines.
• District 95 Familiarity: Deep knowledge of the Fort Worth area and the specific needs of House District 95 is strongly preferred.
• Political Savvy: Strong understanding of the Texas legislative process and a commitment to the Representative’s goals.
  
  Salary: Salary is commensurate with experience. Benefits are provided in accordance with Texas House of Representatives employment policies.
