TxDot officials will unveil map alternatives at town hall, created with constituents’ input

FORT WORTH, TEXAS – Tuesday, October 23, 2018
State Representative Nicole Collier, HD 95, will host Town Hall Thursday: Southeast Connector Update, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Thursday, November 8, at TCC Opportunity Center, Room 1440, 5901 Fitzhugh Ave., in Fort Worth.

TxDOT officials will present a series of maps with alternative routes for its Southeast Connector Project, which were based on community input.

“I’m so appreciative that officials with TxDOT were open to suggestions and incorporated the invaluable recommendations of residents who live in the area, to generate the new alternative maps. On a broad level, this is responsive government at its best," said Representative Collier. The Southeast Connector Project is part of the larger $1.3 billion Clear Lanes Project initiative that will fund efforts to alleviate roadway congestion in five Texas metropolitan cities: Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin, Houston and San Antonio. The Southeast Connector Project is needed to relieve congestion in Fort Worth's southeast corridor, at the I-20, I-820 and U.S. 287 interchanges. The upcoming town hall will be a follow up to Representative Collier’s transportation town hall held in August.

This will be the first time the alternative maps will be made available to the public.
